Well, April has come and gone. That means that we should be 1/3 of the way into our project --- two months out of six that were predicted. Everyone seems to think the renovation will be completed early. I don't have much experience, so I just don't know. It does seem that things are moving at a fast pace. These pictures are to show that ALL of the windows have now been installed. You can also see how the stone foundation and staircase are coming along. The stone work is just beautiful. It's going to be one of my favorite things about the house. The exterior door for the kitchen should be ready before long.
As far as billing goes for the project, this week we received a bill and when it is paid we will have paid more than 50% of the entire construction costs. So that could indicate that the project is moving along at a faster pace than predicted. We plan to ask the builder this coming week about when he thinks they will finish.
Brad took a look under the house today and discovered that the Rinnai tankless water heater has been installed. The water lines are all in place, too. However, there are no sinks, showers or toilets for the water to connect to, yet.
A "for sale" sign will go up at our house in town tomorrow. We hope that a motivated buyer will come along fairly soon! The market is terrible right now.
